SAPPORO HIROBA

Yesbisu Garden Place

Located in front of the Sapporo Beer headquarters, Sapporo Plaza has been recognized as a nature symbiosis site. Despite being in a prime area of Ebisu, it offers a space where visitors can feel the richness of nature and discover new joys and experiences.

More than 10 types of fruit- and flower-bearing trees—such as kumquat, fig, loquat, blueberry, and mimosa—were carefully selected to provide beauty and harvests throughout the year.

In collaboration with nearby shops and local community members, sensory-based “soft content” experiences are developed to engage all five senses. Through harvesting and ongoing care, the space fosters resource circulation and becomes a place where residents and workers can feel a deeper connection to both nature and one another.

SUPERNOVA KAWASAKI

Sawai, Kawasaki

A new live house has opened next to Kawasaki Station, designed not just to meet greening standards but to tell a story through its planting. Trees and greenery were carefully selected with both narrative and functionality in mind.

The planting design aims to do more than soothe visitors—it encourages connection and communication. The space is also intended to evolve into a form of green infrastructure that plays a meaningful, functional role within the city.

NAGO AGRIPARK

Nago, Okinawa

Nago Agri Park, originally established to promote agricultural revitalization through sixth industrialization, has reopened with a renewed vision.

Working in collaboration with local farmers in the Nago area, the park features over 20 varieties of valuable crops, including banana, pineapple, coffee, vanilla, and cacao.

The project covers everything from the design of the greenhouse botanical café to the outdoor landscape.

A range of soft content experiences invites visitors to engage with Okinawa’s agricultural products from multiple perspectives, creating meaningful connections between producers, the local community, and park guests.

大師ONE PARK

Daishi, Kawasaki

Creative planting designs—such as a “harvest fence” and glass planters—were implemented to make the most of the unique qualities of this vacant lot. The space has become a daily gathering spot for parents and children, fostering communication and connection.

Beyond the park itself, the initiative has expanded through collaborations with nearby hospitals, hotels, and bakeries, evolving into a community-wide Foodscaping network that circulates resources and relationships throughout the area.

UD TRUCKS

Ageo, Saitama

UD Trucks, a Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer operating in over 60 countries, launched this project with the aim of strengthening connections among employees and embodying sustainability as a core company value.

A Foodscape centered around fruit trees was installed on the company’s headquarters grounds, with employees themselves planting herbs and strawberries as a finishing touch.

Throughout the year, sustainability-themed trainings and hands-on workshops—such as planting and harvesting—are held, turning the space into an active learning and engagement site.

By enhancing the landscape and creating a space people naturally want to gather in, the project also offers employees opportunities to refresh and reconnect.

PROJECTS

Rather than simply creating a space, we focus on building a continuity of experiences that help bridge the gap between people—and between people and nature.
